Two clip instances can share a name and not share notes — transposing a copy leaves the name untouched. Every pitch, chord and range here is read from that instance's own note events. Transposition is baked into the stored note numbers, so this is ground truth.
Each clip also has a played window: an instance sounds only the slice of its content between its loop brace, not the whole clip. The same clip can supply a chord block in one instance and a melodic tail in the next. Same-named instances that differ in pitch are flagged pitch variant.
